STAYING IN OXFORD?

For those who are staying in Oxford overnight or making a weekend of it - here are some of our favourite things to do in case you find yourself at a loose end.

Go punting at cherwell

Head to the Cherwell boathouse for a spot of punting. One of the loveliest ways to see Oxford and explore the area, we recommend taking a picnic or snacks so you can pull up somewhere along the river, try to balance whilst popping a bottle and eating some strawberries. Wholesome, pretty scenery, all in all - a smashing way to spend an afternoon.

Mooch around Oxford and Find Scriptums

Taking in the sights of Oxford is pretty easy, the city is full of beautiful architecture and places that look like a Harry Potter film. One of our favourite shops is called Scriptums, full of gorgeous little things and right next to our wedding venue the Bodleian Library.

Check out the The Store hotel’s new rooftop bar for some truly excellent cocktails in the city centre.

Head to Jericho

We live in an area just north of the city centre called Jericho. Mostly full of independent shops, restaurants and pubs - it’s only a 5 minute walk from the city centre and full to the brim of excellent people watching spots. There is usually someone riding a unicycle in a tophat - that sort of vibe.
